Can we eat it YET?

Ah, Gingerbread houses. My kids love to make them, then DEVOUR them! It's so funny to watch how my kids, especially the girls, meticulously place each gumdrop and peppermint disk to decorate the perfect little candy house, admire their work, pose for a few pictures, then when I give the okay, they pluck away like vultures until there's nothing left but a sad little frosting crusted shack. Gotta love it. What could be more fun than playing with candy and then getting to eat it??
On Christmas Eve, Aunt Tricia had about 12 of these little graham cracker houses constructed and waiting to be loaded up with the perfect assortment of treats: gummy bears, froot loops, candy canes, mini kisses, pretzels, red hots, and more! All of the grandkids loved having a house all their own to create and eat. Thanks Tricia!

Finally, with Aunt Wendy's help, the kids got to make the Gingerbread house from the kit my mom had given us weeks earlier. It turned out cute, but the roof kept sliding off. Oh well, it didn't last long anyway...delicious!

Wow! Sounds like your kids might have OD'ed on sugar this Christmas! Lucky kids! They did a great job on their own little creations. Very impressive.

Brady's tongue picture needs to be blown up poster size for one of your empty walls. It's too adorable and so expressive! Love it!

Tricia sure is ambitious! What's better than having your OWN to decorate? I love how yoru kids are up on the tables as close to the candy as possible. Cute houses~ what fun for the kids!!!
