Smoky Sunday

This is what we saw as we walked our home teachers to their car on Sunday. It was 2pm, but so dark and eerie outside! We figure the smoke came from the Castaic/Piru fires.
This picture doesn't do justice to the brilliant orange/red of the sunlight filtered through the smoke. The kids were in awe of it!

Oh my gosh, that is so scary looking. It gives me the chills to look at it. Is it getting closer? I guess I should count my blessings...I'll take a power outage over that anyday.

It was yucky! Those are great pictures. All those poor victims of so many fires! Wow!

nice pictures ginger. we should have taken some too. it wasn't quite as bad over here but it was bad enough. we had the joy of two hours of church with no power. truth is that things went way more smoothly than i would have ever thought.

it sure has been fun catching up by reading your blog.

also if heidi or natalie or other family members read this and they have a blog i want to know the address. heidi - does missy have one?

i think you have my email right? I know heidi does.

Wow, your pictures are so much cooler than mine. I love the "rolling in" look. Very cool.

Wow-that is horrible! I have heard how bad things are from my family. Those pictures make it even more real.
